✿ Ethics ✿
The late Milton Glaser was asked, what is a designers responsibility? His response was ‘To do no harm’. This quote has always stuck with me, influencing every choice I make within my work and store. Below you will find more in-depth environmental and ethical details for each aspect of my store. It is my hope that although I am small, I can show big corp that it is not hard to take steps towards fairer production through transparency. Packaging
All of my packaging is made of cardboard and is fully recyclable. Prints are wrapped in 100% recyclable and compostable tissue paper. My shirts are packaged in bags made from a blend of recycled sugar cane and potato starch. All order slips are bio-degradable risograph prints, made from recycled paper and printed with soy ink! I have spent years trialing and sourcing eco-conscious packaging and it is a true passion of mine.
I am proud to say this store is completely *Amazon free* and I source all materials, packaging and printing from UK based independent companies.
Garments
My clothing is certified Fair Wear Trade, meaning every individual involved at every level of production is paid a living wage and working conditions are maintained to a high standard. My store is anti-sweatshop!
My cotton products are Earth Positive branded, organic, carbon neutral and sustainably produced.
My hand painted garments are hand dyed using natural materials in my home studio, and are painted using a mix of eco-friendly clothing paints and dyes.
All of my screen printed products are made by a UK-based independent screen printers.

Prints
All of my risograph prints are printed on my behalf by my good friends at Duplikat press. They use a cold water process to produce soy-ink prints on recycled papers. Risograph printing is my favourite style eco-printing because each print is unique.
I print all my digital prints with the utmost care in my home studio in the north of England. I have sourced eco-conscious specialist paper stock that provides a lightfast, high quality matte finish.
All prints are wrapped in bio-degradable tissue paper for shipment.
